I can't find a link to reference though. I know it's on my ipod so hopefully I will find it. The gist was that the constant bombardment of negative news creates a sense of fatalism in people and this fatalism removes a sense of responsibility from people. We like to feel like victims of the world instead of perpetrators when given the opportunity to choose. I was just listening to a story about this. I can’t find a link to reference though.
